Biography

Dan joined MRG in 2012 as a DPhil student having completed a research project with the group as part of his undergraduate course. He was a member of New College. Dan’s research was on laser based localisation for robots with pushbroom LIDARs using 3D scene priors.

With Dr Alastair Harrison, Dan implemented the L3 algorithm which allows RobotCar to localise itself in a previously surveyed environment.

He completed his Masters of Engineering Science at Oxford in 2012, where he specialised in Information Engineering and was a member of New College.

Dan enjoys all things bicycle, as well as running and being in the mountains.
